The MINI GOAT at Devonbosch this 5km Trail offers a trail running path through fynbos is a journey through South Africa’s unique and vibrant floral kingdom. Imagine narrow, winding trails that meander through dense patches of shrub-like vegetation, alive with diverse textures and colours. You’ll encounter hardy, low-lying bushes, delicate proteas, feathery ericas, and sometimes tall restios that sway in the winelands breeze. The earthy, fragrant scent of fynbos fills the air. Underfoot, the terrain can be sandy, rocky, or covered in loose gravel, ( ok … bricks ) adding a rugged element to the trail. The landscape undulates with hills, ridges, and occasional views of Simonsberg & Devonbosch reveal sprawling mountain ranges, valleys & water bodies. It’s an immersive run that connects you to nature, with the ever-changing scenery and resilient, endemic flora making every step feel invigorating and grounding.
